Jeremy Preston (originally from Melbourne) is from Illumina headquarters, San Diego, USA.  Jeremy’s experience spans a couple of decades in biotech across major genomics industry providers.  Jeremy earned his PhD from La Trobe University in Plant Biology and was a postdoctoral researcher at the Riken Institute in Japan.  With Illumina, Jeremy has played a major role in the pre- and post-release phases of every sequencing system and was instrumental in the integration of many of the assay chemistries into the company’s portfolio.  Jeremy is known for promoting open, collaborative discussion and is keen to connect personally with our community to field questions and to provide insight that is relevant to the local context.  Jeremy is incredibly excited to share information first-hand on the latest technology release from Illumina, the NextSeq 500.
